Heavy dew in the morning made everything wet again. We had our breakfast and left the campground about 10am once our fly had dried out a bit. Another easy day of riding along flat bike paths with a tailwind for most of the way. And, the sunshine made it even better!!
We rode along the large boardwalk into the downtown of Saint-Valery-sur-Somme, the city where the River Somme flows into the English Channel. There is a large estuary here which is a popular tourist attraction for bird watchers. The tide was low when we were there so there were a lot of people walking on the beach.
We moved on to Abbevile to look around the downtown area. The cathedral is very ornate and gothic.
We found our campground, a lovely quiet spot, just south of Abbeville.
