It rained off and on all night but it wasn't cool. it briefly stopped while we were having breakfast but as soon as we packed up and rode away, the rain started again. It was a nice ride despite the rain. We stopped in Arcen for coffee, a small town with a cute little centre with a couple of cafes and restaurants. We decided to look for a roof over our heads tonight since we were soaking wet and needed to dry up. We booked a "cottage" about 30 kms up the road.

Once we arrived at the larger centre of Nieuw-Bergen, we bought a few groceries and then rode on to our accommodation, arriving about 3:30pm. At this point, the rain had stopped and the sun was shining.

We spread out our wet ground sheets, tents and fly as well as some clothing to get everything dry again.

The "cottage" is lovely. We had a nice dinner and quiet evening.
