It had rained a little during the night so we had to pack up everything wet, again! The good news is we left all our panniers and other bags under the umbrella on the terrace, so all was dry. After breakfast we said good-bye to Peter and Tina and headed out into the countryside towards Brussels.  We arrived in Brussels about noon, a very busy city. We rode through the downtown area, the Grote Market and Grand Place, a beautiful square surrounded by opulent Baroque guildhalls of the former Guilds of Brussels. We stopped at the Starbucks for a coffee and then on continued on our way. We rode through the Sonian forest, an over 10,000 acre hilly forest, with a mix of paved and gravel trails.  It was a little challenging for us and, despite the shade,  we were glad to be out of there.

We arrived at our host, Benoit's place in Waterloo about 5 pm.  He was a very gracious host and provided us with all that we needed. Mary and I walked a short distance to a grocery store for supplies and when we returned, Luke and Oscar,  2 boy scouts showed up.  They were also looking for a place to camp for the night and Benoit agreed. Nice kids.
