We left our cozy little apartment in Ghent about 10 am and rode through the busy morning traffic of the city.  Once out of the city we rode along paved dykes for most of the way along the Schelde River.  We took a detour which shaved off a few kilometers. Then, we continued along the Dender River. We continue to use the node system which is working well.

We arrived at our host's place about 3:15 pm and were greeted by our host, Peter, who made us feel welcome. We set up camp.  A large grocery store was only a few meters away so Mary and I stocked up for supper and breakfast. Later in the evening, Peter and his wife Tina offered us a local beer to try. They are a lovely couple who let us use their kitchen, dining area and bathroom facilities.
