it became quite cool this morning. There was a lot of dew in the tall grass where we had set up our tent. Plus, the sun did not rise over the hilltop until we were ready to leave. Thus, we packed up everything wet, again!!
The fog that had settled in between us and the hilltop was beginning to lift by the time we were ready to leave, about 9:45.
We followed the Meuse River all day with all it's twists and turns, going through small towns with old stone houses and small stone churches. Very picturesque.
The day became very sunny and warm.
Our first stop was along the river at a small coffee shop. We indulged in waffles with whipped cream!!
Our lunch stop, on the side of the path, was only 10 km from our campsite in Charleville-Mezieres.
After a few more twists and turns, we made it to our campground about 3:30pm.
Grocery stores are closed on Sundays at noon so we had supper in the campground restaurant which was very good.
