Vincent brought us some milk for our cereal in the morning. We packed up and left their place about 9:45 am to look for the Eurovelo 5 route, a short distance away.
Once on the EV5 we had a beautiful shaded downhill path to ride all the way to Namur. We drove around the city on EV5 which took us along the River Meuse all the way to Dinant. Such a beautiful part of the world with lovely properties along the river path and steep hills on either side. Some activity on the River including sailing, kayaking and boating. We arrived at a campground just north of Dinant about 1pm which was closed until 3 pm. Fortunately, a man came out and told us the campground was full and that there was another one about 5 km down the road. So, we got some groceries and rode on.
We rode through Dinant, a bustling tourist town, with a beautiful cathedral and rock face background.
We continued towards our campground with the hope that there would be a spot for us. When we arrived, the sign said full. Mary went in and convinced them that we were 3 older people in need of a spot to put up our 2 little tents. Success! We got a tent spot. This was a nice campground beside the Liege River. We set up beside the cow meadow, very calm and peaceful. Showers and supper and then a beer in the bar completed our day.
