We started our day of riding about 9 am in a nice cool temperature. We quickly got through Elst and were back in the beautiful countryside. We had a tailwind for most of the way along flat paved bike paths and roads as well as the raised dykes on the De lek River.

We reached Beusichem about 1230 and found a park to eat our lunch.

The campsite was a short distance away. We set up camp and relaxed before having dinner at the camp restaurant. While we were eating, it started to rain. So we stayed at the bar hoping it would stop after 1 more drink! No such luck. We scurried back to our camp and sheltered in our tent for the night.
