We left a little later than we had planned. Our host had brought us fresh bread and we cooked up a nice breakfast of eggs which we had not had since we left home. We packed up our bikes and left with the destination of Taranto. We made it to Locorotonda, about 12 kms away. This town is listed as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. It certainly is beautiful!!We took a break in the park overlooking the valley.

Then, we travelled mostly on pretty country roads and we were going downhill towards the Ionian Sea for most of the way. As we arrived in the suburbs of Taranto, we realized that we were getting into very busy traffic. The traffic stayed very busy until we reached our campground about 10 km from the city center. We were pretty tired. We set up camp and went out to the local restaurant for a nice seafood dinner.
