This B&B had a very nice breakfast for us on the terrace.  We packed up and took a taxi to the bus station where we boarded

a coach bus to Brindisi airport and picked up our rental van. It was an extra large van so we were able to get all our luggage in, including our bikes which John had disassembled and put in large bags.   Mike drove us to our apartment in Salerno about 5 hours away, passing through beautiful mountain scenery and small cliffside villages. Our apartment was in the old city,

narrow stone streets, and so it was, at times, challenging to get around but Mike did a great job. We parked the van in a parking lot which was a short walk away from our apartment.

Our evening ended with dinner at a "casual Italian" restaurant. The tables were set up in a small alleyway.  The waitresses were fun and the food was very good!

Dinner in an alley restaurant. Food was authentic and great!!
