We said our goodbyes to our wonderful hostess, Madelena, and off we went for our last day of riding our bikes.

We really enjoyed staying at Tenuta Donn Anna and would highly recommend it for anyone thinking of visiting this area.

Once again our route took us on quiet contry roads meandering past stone fences and fields of various olive and other fruit

trees and gardens.

We stopped in the city of Nardo, to take a few pictures and then continued on to the Cantine Garafone winery for our

last scheduled tasting of the trip.  The hostess was a educated sommelier and was very good at explaining

the grapes that they use in their wines and the history of the winery and surrounding area.  She also gave us a tour of their

production area where they process their grapes, mostly Negroarama, and store their wine in large steel vats and in concrete rooms beneath the floor. The wine was excellent and so, we each bought a bottle to enjoy later on.

Our last stop was in the small town of Copertoni, to take a few pictures of the castle. Then, we carried on until our final destination, the Salento Bici Tour company warehouse in Lecce, where the others in our group returned their bikes.

Our B&B for the night was a short walk from the warehouse in the old city, where we cleaned up, had our delicious wine on the terrace and got ready for our final meal of the tour. It was another lovely Italian dinner and still warm enough to sit outside on their patio.
