Our van picked us up about 10 am. Fortunately, we managed to fit in both bikes and all our bags. The ride to Manfredonia provided really nice views of the Gargano National Park as we drove around the outside perimeter of the hills.

Our driver dropped us off at the port in the downtown area. We assembled our bikes and went to look for the tourist information office. We finally found it and got some information about Manfredonia and inquired about tours of the Park. It was apparent that we would not be able to tour the Park by vehicle (no cars for rent in this town and no organized tours available). So, we decided on a boat tour for tomorrow. Then we had to find accommodation. We ended up at a B&B in the heart of downtown with a 15 step staircase to get to our room. Carrying up all those bags and 2 bikes was not an easy task.

After settling in, we had some time to explore. We went to the old castle, the cathedral and the busy downtown area. We finished our day with pizza and beer at an Irish pub about 50 metres from our B&B.
