We checked out of our apartment that we had for the last 5 nights and went to a B&B that we had booked quite awhile ago through the tour company that we will be using for our self guided bike tour starting on Saturday. We left our bags there and then headed for the coast, the Ionian Sea Coast today!

It started to rain a little when we left but it didn't last long. We rode on nice quiet country roads as well as some secondary highways. We went through a couple of small towns, one which has a winery called Conti Zecca. It looked very nice on their website so we stopped in, just to have a look!. We that turned into us tasting a couple of their wines and a purchase for our dinner tonight.

We made it to Porto Cesareo about 1 pm and looked around the town. It is a beautiful port town with a really nice waterfront. We had a snack there and then rode down the coast to another small town, Sant'Isodoro. Smaller but equally charming!

We rode back to Lecce, arriving about 4:30 pm, checked into our new place and got a pizza to have with our bottle of red from the winery!
