Today we headed out for a bike ride to the coast. San Cataldo is a seaside resort town, a short distance from Lecce. The beaches are beautiful and the water of the Adriatic is, as ever, a spectacular mix of greens, turquoise and blues. We had a swim in the sea. The water is still pretty nice, once you get in!

This town must be busting in the summer months with tourists because we rode by many beach clubs and restaurants all along the coast which are now boarded up. There are few cars on the road and not many people around.

We returned back to Lecce, picked up some groceries and headed back to our apartment for one more night.
