We did not ride our bikes today. We had a lovely breakfast on the patio and then we walked into the nearby town (Secli), about 1.5 km for a honey tasting. This local honey producer has bee hives all over the Salento area. They produce different flavours including orange, eucalyptus, coriander and thyme. We tried them all!!

Then we had a cooking class of the most traditional dishes of the Salento area including Pitta di patate (baked mashed potato layered dish with a tomato and olive sauce in the middle of the layers), orecchiette pasta, and crepes with ricotta and chocolate filling. Salad and local wine complemented our meal. A few other people joined us. It was fun!

Quiet time in the afternoon for a couple of hours.

Then, more food....the estate owner's son is a chef and he cooked us a fabulous meal for dinner. After eating way too much, we rolled back to our rooms for the night.
