Our apartment had a nice terrace looking out over the sea and so we took advantage of it and had our breakfasts outside. 

We had the van for one more day so we decided to go to Pompeii, about 45 minute drive, to see the ancient city that was buried in ash from a volcanoe in 79 AD. It was a very interesting place to visit and to learn and see how they lived, their culture and customs.

Before heading back to Salerno, we stopped for a bite to eat (excellent panini's).

Once we arrived back in Salerno, we picked up a few more groceries and had some snacks before calling it a night.  

I think we were all pretty tired after a full day of travelling and walking.
