It rained most of the night so we packed up everything wet, hoping that tonight's stay will be drier.

We drove into Inglostadt and looked around the old city. Lots of interesting historic sights to see and learn about. Like most other cities, Inglostadt has many claims to fame but what stands out a little is that the city's old anatomy school was the birthplace of the novel Frankenstein!!

Inglostadt"s old historic city is lovely but the city is also touted as a modern prosperous city, likely due to 2 oil refineries and the headquarters and factory for Audi.

The skies were threatening rain again so got back to the "safety" of our car and headed on eastward.

Next stop was the Kloster Weltenburg abbey, considered the oldest abbey in Bavaria, founded in AD620. Beautifully situated on the banks of the Danube, its claim to fame is their brewery, in operation since 1050, making itthe oldest monastic brewery in the world and producing award winning beer. We couldn't leave without buying a few to taste!!

Regensburg was our next stop for the night
