A nice ride into the large city of Tours. The route goes through the main street of town on a designated bike lane. We found the tourist office and then went on a short ride/walk to the old quarter. Most of the area has been turned into tourist attractions. High end shopping, bars and restaurants. It is interesting in the old town square, where there are so many outdoor cafes and restaurants, that it looks quite disorganized but nobody was yelling about getting the wrong food or sitting in the wrong area!!

Then we went to visit the Basilica of St. Martin, patron Saint of France.

Made a final stop at a tree that Napoleon planted in 1804 while visiting the city. Just next door is the the cathedral that took about 400 years to build. It showcases three different architectural , Roman, Gothic and Renaissance. Very interesting detailed work.

Then we decided to move on to Amboise, arriving at our campsite around 4:30. Pretty tired tonight.
