To start our day, we drove into Passau to tour the city. We walked out to the furthest point, passed the many river cruise ships, to view the point where the 3 rivers (Danube, Inns and Ilz) join into one.

Then we lost ourselves in the many alleys and cobblestone streets of the old town. St. Stephan's cathedral is definitely a church that we both thought is the most beautiful we have seen, perhaps because of the natural light (no stained glass) streaming in. The organ is the largest cathedral organ in the world. We happened to be there when mass was going on and the organist was playing - powerful accoutics!!

Next stop was the Schlogner Schlinge where the Danube turns on itself twice. We had read so much about the climb up to the lookout that we had to see for ourselves. The Schlogner Blick (trail) is 1.4km straight up a rocky path. Fortunately, there were some walking sticks that were helpful. The view from the top is spectacular, as you can see from the pictures!

Back to the car, we headed to our next stop for the night about 25km just east of Linz. A large campground with a lake in the middle and a waterboarding pull with many ramps/jumps entertained us.
