We decided not to go into Orleans as the bike route does not go into the city and we didn't want to have to deal with the traffic with fully loaded bikes and no map. Will leave Orleans for another time!! Nice bike path again , flat and paved. Minimal wind. The paths are often small municipal roads as well, although we rarely see cars. When we do meet a car, the driver usually gets off onto the grassy shoulder to let us pass.

First town we came to was Jargeau with a very sharp turn, only to be faced with a very steep cobblestone path. Needless to say we pushed our bikes up that one!

Then we arrived at Chateauneuf and decided to go into the town centre for a coffee. Found the tourist office and got some information and water.

Next stop was a short detour to Germigny des Pres. This town has one of the oldest churches in France, dating back to ad806. Many of the original parts are still intact. Pretty cool walking into a building so old!

Then onwards to Saint Pere sur Loire where we found a nice campsite with a pool, nice facilities and a large nearby grocery store.

As usual, tired at end of the day but so appreciative of the daily adventure, exploring and seeing something a little different everyday!!
