All quiet in the campground during the night. We picked up our croissants and bread as we left. Overcast and a nice comfortable temperature.
We cycled beside the Moselle River and some small canals for most of the day. It was a beautiful flat ride with some fun series of descends beside many canal locks. We stopped in Messien for coffee and to eat our croissants and to discuss how far we wanted to go this day. There are not a lot of campgrounds in this area. We decided to bypass the large city of Nancy and go another 40km to a campground in the small village of Parroy. As it continued to be flat and the weather being nice, it was not too strenuous. However, we were glad to arrive about 2:30 and get off the bikes.
The only spot to get food without having to cycle too far away was a pizza dispensing machine in Parroy, about 1 km away. Mary and I cycled into Parroy and experienced for the first time, how to order a pizza through this machine. The pizza turned out to be not too bad!!
