It didn’t rain overnight but a lot of our stuff was still wet. Sunny and cool this morning. We had coffee and a croissant in the camp restaurant before packing everything up.
We got out of Verdun and into the countryside quite quickly as our campground was just outside the city. We were not on the right side of the city to see where the Battle of Verdun happened and we did not have enough interest to go out of our way.
Once again, we had rolling hills and valleys but nothing too steep or strenuous. We rode through small villages which seemed to be abandoned at times because there was no one out. We arrived in Saint Mihiel about 1 pm and found our campground, a nice well treed area to set up camp.
We had a leisurely afternoon and evening. The weather remained sunny but no humidity and a breeze.
