We took the tram back into Strasbourg early this morning. We had planned to see the inside of the Cathedral first thing since many people had told us to get there early. We arrived at the Cathedral door about 9:50 and walked right in. No line ups. While we were inside a few groups from the Viking cruise ships walked in. It soon became full of people. So, we felt good about getting there early.

The Cathdrals stained glass windows are well preserved and lovely. The Cathedral also has an astronomical clock which has figures that move and ding every 15 minutes. A more detailed show of the clock occurs at 12 noon but we decided not to come back for that - too many people.

We got on a boat tour and travelled for over 1 hour throughout the canal system of the city, including 2 locks, and learning more about the history and significant landmarks, from the waterway perspective. Very relaxing.

After lunch we wandered a bit more through la Petite France and then hopped back on the tram to our apartment. It was a good day of sightseeing, sunny and a comfortable temperature.
