Our first full day off the bike since we were in Ghent 16 days ago.

It was a beautiful sunny day, not too hot, as we explored the beautiful city of Strasbourg.

We took the tram down to Cathedral square, about a 20 min ride, and looked around until we met our walking tour guide at 11 am. There was just the 3 of us so it felt like a private tour. He took us to La Petite France, an old part of the city with original timber houses. Lovely! We had lunch is this part of town and then met the same walking tour guide for another tour of the city. This time he provided a more historical perspective. Interesting! This was a much larger group.

We did a bit of shopping and had wood fired pizza for dinner.

It was a long day on our feet so we were glad to get back to our apartment to rest.
