The on-site bakery was a bonus for our breakfast today!

Today's ride was mostly along the beach front. This beach is very wide and long with white soft sand. The entire strip is hotels and condos, with many families out and about.

Although it was sunny, the headwind made the ride a little challenging. At one point we decided to get off the open beach front path and move one street over. The wind wasn't quite so strong but it was equally busy with traffic. However, there is always a bike lane to ride on here.

We had 3 detours along our ride today so we arrived in Dunkirk much later than we expected. We booked into a downtown suites hotel for the night.

We toured the 1940 Operation Dynamo Museum which was a very good display of the WW11 battle of Dunkirk and the largest military evacuation in history with over 340,000 soldiers evacuated to England.

We had a nice dinner and then back to our home for the night.
