We had heavy rain and winds all night. Thank goodness we had brought a tarp to throw over our tent to give us an added layer of protection.

We chatted with the other campers in the shelter over breakfast. All the campers we had met were moving on today, like us. Their company and conversation met our stay quite enjoyable.

We packed everything up wet and headed out towards the Amsterdam airport where we have 2 nights booked in a hotel. The temperature was a little cool.

As we rode off to do our last bike ride of the trip (a short one - 32 km) to the hotel, I thought about all the places we've seen and the people we've met. We really have had a great bike trip.

We stopped for lunch and then carried on, arriving at the airport hotel about 3 pm.

With all our gear in our room, we headed over to the airport to pick up bike boxes.

John got our bikes packed away in the boxes with some of our gear. The hotel kept them secure in the luggage room for us.

We did a bit of planning for tomorrow, to explore Amsterdam.

Clean and dry, we settled in for the night.
