We had another incredible breakfast at our B&B in Maduria and then headed back towards the Adriatic coast along countryside roads.

During the first part of the ride we passed a mix of vineyards and olive groves. At one point, we stopped for a drink and happened to talk to a farmer who was clearing away the leaves from his grapes. Thanks to google translate we learned that he was doing this to make is easier to harvest the grapes. He said his grapes are the Primitivo grape, which as we learned at the museum tour are the first harvested grape in the area. He was very generous and gave us a few bunches to try.

We arrived in Ostuni about 2:30 pm and sat in a park for a short time. The host of our accommodation was very kind to let us go to his place earlier than expected. It turns out that he is a bicycle enthusiast and gave us tips of where to ride along the coast.

We have our own kitchen at this apartment so will get some groceries and make our meals while we are here.

The Primitivo grapes that our friend along the side of the road gave us to try. They are good, juicy and sweet!!
