Our destination today was the beach!! After all our bike riding along this coast, we thought it would be fun to take some time to enjoy the beautiful water and just sit on the beach.

We had a bit of bike riding to get there, but at least our load was substantially lighter. Also, there was a hill - getting to the beach was all downhill but coming back to town was a bit more strenuous.

The sandy beaches are mixed in with rocky shoreline making the whole coastline very picturesque. The beach sand is very soft and the water is still very warm for swimming. The colours are incredible!!

We had a good time playing in the water. Unfortunately, once we were out of the water we had no shade to protect us from the sun (no umbrella like the locals have). So, we headed out on the bikes again. We tried to stop to get a drink but, as per Italian culture, all the establishments were closed for their "riposa". Fortunately, we still had some water left.

We arrived back at our B&B, cleaned up and got ready to go out for pizza!!
