We spent the day touring Bari by walking tours. The first one was a walking tour of the old city. Bari is a port city and the capital of southern Italy's Puglia region. Its mazelike old town, occupies the land between 2 harbors. Surrounded by narrow winding streets, the 11th century basilica of San Nicola, is one of the main attractions.

The second tour we took featured various street food from the old town including focaccia, various cured meat, smoked cheese, sundried tomatoes, nuts, sgagliozza (fried polenta - corn), wine and gelato. We had a very informative guide and enjoyed learning more about Bari and the traditional food.
