After another delicious breakfast at the hotel, we packed up, put our stuff in the car and set off to explore some more sites in Bratislava. This included St. Martin's church again because the inside was open today. It is, surprisingly, quite plain inside (compared to other churches) given its significance in history as a coronation church.

Then we visited the Periods Room Museum (furniture and decor) and adjacent Museum of Viticulture (wine) which traces the history of viticulture, growing vines, harvesting and processing. Of course, the visit ended in their cellar with a lovely display of the country's wines and samples! The sommelier was very informative. With a nice bottle of red in hand for a later evening, we left Bratislava as happy tourists!

Then, it was off to Hungary. We were surprised to have to pay 14 euros to enter this country with a foreign car. Anyway, we obliged and carried on.

Arriving in Budapest about 3 pm, the city was bistling with cars and people everywhere. We found a campground only 5 subway stops from the old city centre - perfect! Car is parked and hopefully we don't have to take it out until we leave. We set up and then enjoyed happy hour at the campground restaurant (about 20ft from our tent!!) - 1 euro for a lager. Again, perfect.

We had dinner and loosely planned our next 3 days in Budapest.
