We arrived in Rome in the early morning with all of our luggage intact. The train station is right across the street from the airport. We took the 40 minute train ride to the main terminal in downtown Rome which appeared to be in a constant state of organized chaos. We boarded one of the super fast trains travelling well over 250 km/hour on route to Bologna.

We had to change trains in Bologna to the regional train system. Trains are quite spacious, very clean and efficient.
