Rest day!! Triathalon just around the corner from our campground started bright and early so we could hear the starting groups take off.

Laundry and trying to dry things out took a bit of time. Left the campground in late morning to visit the city. They have a self-guided tour with accompanying brochure, called the trail of the "Perched Cat", named after a story that a local famous author wrote. The trail is marked by bronze arrows with cats engraved in them. The trail took us to many interesting historic sites including the Church of Notre-Dame with a huge elaborate organ, the birthplace of Louis Pasteur and the College of St Jerome, founded at the end of the 15th century. The flowers everywhere are beautiful. As we walked along the cobblestone streets and the small alleys, we tried to imagine what it was like to live here in the 12th century when the city started to be built around a fortress.

As we walked back to our campsite, we watched some of the triathalon which was still going on at 4 pm.

Another amazing day in France!!
